Welcome Teachers, Parents, Students!

This is a blog that Mrs. Everts, Mrs. Ellsworth and Mrs. Trumble created when we all taught sixth grade together.  (September 2014 - June 2017)  

 

We created blog links that are tied to our curriculum that are located under the LINKS heading.  

Specifically, our writing blog is a compilation of lessons from Lucy Calkins' that all three of us have helped to summarize.  The blog we created can be used by teachers as a resource to help teach narrative, persuasive and research writing skills to 6th graders.

We've made additional resources under the links as well for teachers to access as they see the need!

It is our hope that this blog continues to be a helpful toolbox for teachers!

Learning About the Moon Phases

The students are learning that the changing appearance of the moon depends on its position relative to the position of the Sun and Earth.  Ask your child to tell you the order of the moon phases!
